Define both addresses
Provide collection and delivery locations, access restrictions, working hours, vehicle limits, and loading support. Remote areas, restricted streets, and appointment deliveries can change the equipment and cost.
List every transport stage
- Origin pickup and terminal delivery
- Export customs clearance
- Main air, ocean, or road transport
- Destination handling and import customs
- Final-mile delivery and proof of delivery
Clarify commercial responsibility
State the Incoterm, cargo value, insurance request, duty and tax payer, free time, and exclusions. Ask whether the rate includes security fees, documentation, handling, waiting, and delivery appointment charges.
One operating contact should manage milestones and exceptions across the route. This reduces handover gaps and gives the shipper a clear status from pickup to delivery.
